US DIVERS FIFTY FATHOMS RAYVILLE BLANCPAIN 500 FEET 34MM 1950s VINTAGE DIVERUS Divers
For auction is a rare and important US Divers Fifty Fathoms by Rayville (Blancpain) manual winding 34mm early historically important diver in original as found condition. Barnfind is a word borrowed from the automotive world; it is overused, typically contextually wrong and has become watch world cliche (like the words passion [or worse yet passione], unpolished, grail...the list goes on...and I suppose I'm just as guilty as anyone else in using those words but I digress). This is really an as found 'barnfind'; likely as not never having had a cleaning in its life, probably worn and worn and then thrown into a drawer. Unfortunately I'll never know the history of this piece but will assume it belonged to one seriously bad dude. This particular guilloche dial is rather rare.
