For auction is an 1950's Universal Geneve Polerouter 20217-4 caliber 138SS bumper automatic black crosshair dial all original. The good: 1. Desirable black crosshair dial. 2. Very early example of the reference with the earlier bumper automatic. 3. Has its original crown. The bad: 1. Shows heavy wear to case and heavy wear to caseback. 2. Dial has most of its original radium missing on the plots and about half off on the hands. This is a watch showing a lifetime of wear; it hasn't been polished but probably could use a sympathetic polishing (I absolutely abhor polishing collectible watches like this and will avoid it all costs). But it does have its original crown and its black crosshair dial is very attractive showing a very light tropicality.

Dial: Matte black with crosshair, outer applied silvered raised chapter with wide hour markers, dauphine hands, round plots for hours missing the radium, overall nice slightly tropical dial
Condition: 75% (7.5 of 10): case shows heavy wear, dial slightly tropical, movement shows wear, working and functioning correctly
