For auction is a 2005 Panerai PAM00121 Luminor Chronograph 40mm OP IV El Primero titanium automatic chronograph full set with extra leather strap. There is some lore around the 121: though the millestimation has it as 1500 to be produced in the E model year the reality is that likely fewer than 200 were made due to the unavailability of the OP IV movements for Panerai. Most apparently didn't have box and papers making this a very very rare example. It is one of the rarest non-limited Panerai and also an incredibly nice and wearable watch. In the aughts, when Panerai was hotter than the sun, the 40mm pieces were looked down upon as the market wanted jumbo watches only. Now the pendulum has swung back to reasonably sized watches and looking at this watch with fresh eyes it really is a wonderful piece. It has the excellent Luminor case in titanium with engraved tachy bezel and a beautiful matte black dial with gray subdials. Comes with an extra gator strap and black cardboard box with inner pearwood and all papers, the outer cardboard is missing. In unpolished nice original condition.
