KRITER LEMANIA 1341 1970s 44MM AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH BLUE DIAL TRITIUM ORANGEKriter
For auction is an impressive vintage Kriter chronograph in absolutely sparkling original condition. We could only find one other watch with this name out of Germany, but you will surely recognize the case. Likely made by EPSA, it has the perfect deep sunburst finishing, sharp high polished bevels and a general air of high build quality that we expect from an unpolished case from this company. Inside ticks the Lemania 1341. Lemania was late to the automatic chronograph party, introducing this movement in 1972. But they went all out, producing an integrated chrono movement with a quick set date, a funky asymmetric subdial layout and a central minute counter. Lemania did it the only way they could, with impeccable quality and impressive durability. The case and movement are only part of the story. The brilliant sunburst blue dial with grey subdials is a work of art. It might be a sinn to compare it with the 140, but other than the fixed inner bezel, they're the same basic watch. If you want to own an unpolished 1970's chronograph with a large case, a killer dial and a bulletproof movement, here it is.

Case: 43mm STAINLESS STEEL unpolished tonneau case with deep grain sunburst finishing on the top and screw back, brushed sides and wide, sharp high polish bevels. The case has minor wear, but it of great magnitude and unbelievably high quality. We believe it was made by EPSA. It is signed with a date of 1972 on the inner back, making it the first year of Lemania 1341 production. Presented on a handcrafted leather strap in olive drab.
Dial: Sunburst dial in royal blue, with applied baton markers, grey asymmetric subdials and 5-minute markings at each hour marker. Dial shows minor wear around the tritium plots, which is de rigeur for blue dials and does not detract. Black fixed inner bezel. White lume-filled stick hands, orange chrono hands with a Concorde-shaped pointer on the central minute counter.
