JUNGHANS VINTAGE FLIEGER CHRONOGRAPH J88 60s TRITIUM EXCELLENT CASE ICONIC LOOKJunghans
In the post-WWII period, Germany's military was completely disarmed. Nine years later, as a part of NATO, there was a need for West Germany to re-arm against the threat of Soviet domination in Europe. For their pilot's watches, or fliegeruhr, the newly established Bundeswehr turned to Junghans, the venerable German maker based in the Black Forest. The resulting J88 is an icon of military chronographs and this is one of the best ones we have ever seen. The case and bezel are in absulotely amazing condition with no loss of the matte nickel plating that makes the finish so cool on these watches. The glossy dial has a great faded lume that really gives this watch character. This watch is powered by the in-house Junghans J88 movement and is running great. Overall, a giant of pilot watch collecting, this Junghans offers uniqueness, great style and investment grade condition. If you have been waiting for an exceptional Junghans J88, your search is over.
