IWC Ref 1419 INTEGRATED MESH MILANESE BRACELET RARE 34MM SILVER DIAL CALIBER 402IWC
Description: For auction is an IWC ref. 1419 from the 1960’s with integrated with manual wind caliber 402. A perfectly proportioned watch at 34MM it is something a younger version of myself would have dismissed as too small. Now I couldn’t disagree with that more. Firstly, as many who have had the chance to look at my watches in person have come to understand, millimeter size by itself doesn’t define how a watch wears or exactly how big or small it feels. This watch has a big dial 18mm lug width…creating a balanced nicely sized watch. It works for dress but it also works wonderfully for daily wear. Gorgeous calatrava-style dial with applied batons and great 1960’s IWC logo and signature it is uncluttered and simplicity personified. But the read draw is certainly the integrated mesh milanese IWC bracelet, it takes the watch and elevates it.
