Franck Muller 7002 T SQT 44mm Stainless Steel Skeletonized Tourbillon PrototypeIWC
For auction is a 2000's Franck Muller prototype 7002 T Ronde Imperial Skeleton Tourbillon 42mm in stainless steel. This was bought from a master watchmaker who worked by contract for Franck Muller doing tourbillons and high complications, this was their personal watch. It is a 7002 T case without engravings because it was never meant to be sold at retail. The movement is a skeletonized caliber 2001-2 and was only ever released in a white gold fully pave diamond case. In fact there haven't ever been any publicly released steel cased Franck Muller Tourbillons. So to say that its rare is an understatement; it is the only one of its kind. It never got the applied Franck Muller chapter with minutes and hours and the watchmaker had to give back the FM crown when his contract ended but being the master watchmaker he was he made a gorgeous oversized crown. However the movement is clearly identifiable as what it is supposed to be, that FM rotating tourbillon carriage is hard to miss. Tourbillons are special but skeletonized tourbillons are another level of special; add in the unique nature of the watch and it is a once-in-a-lifetime type of watch.
