ELGIN VINTAGE 200M 44MM STAINLESS STEEL DIVER AUTOMATIC ORANGE HANDS ETA 2783Elgin
For auction is a very tough and substantial Elgin 600 FT dive watch. It uses the same large size tonneau case and orange-accented stepped dial as the Scafograf. In the 60's and 70's, there was a cross-pollination in the watch industry that led to a lot of watch styles being made under more than one brand. We are big fans of the nearly infinite combinations that this produced and a lot of collectors will seek out rare versions of their favorite watch designs. This particular watch is in great unpolished condition and is a very satisfying design, thanks to its smooth brushed bezel with a grooved buzzsaw edge and an entirely brushed radial finish apart from a single lume plot at 12. Very purposeful and simple in design. This watch has extremely high build quality in addition to its imposing design, yet it wears well. This Elgin would be a great addition to any dive collection.

Lots of eye appeal and build quality for the serious collector.
