For auction is a 2005 ECW European T55 tourbillon volant 18k rose gold 46mm tonneau manual winding highest grade engraving caliber ECW3001 and finishing quality guilloche dial. This watch weighs 184 grams: it is a serious brick of gold on the wrist (probably about 7k or so in gold weight alone ). ECW is an interesting brand; part of Franck Muller's Watchland group it was made by an Italian watchmaker Roberto Carlotti and is criminally undervalued. They made very quality watches with unique case shapes and attractive dials. This is the highest end ECW ever made and it shares a movement with FM tourbillons but this is round and those are tonneau. An FM tourbillon is a real cut above most others; it is a tourbillon volant one minute tourbillon without supports so that it can sit flush with the dial. The movement states: First Quality and it is no exaggeration; this is about as good as it gets for a watch like this. And as a sub-brand of FM/Watchland it represents an exceptional discount for how much it would be to buy the same watch as a Casablanca Tourb (not to mention it has 2-3x the gold weight! it really is an anchor). This is the best deal on a solid gold Swiss made high grade tourbillon worldwide.
