Corum Romulus Romvlvs 295.510.55 18k Retail $35,200 LNIB 41mm Automatic CO295
Corum

For auction is a 2010's Corum Romulus 18k ref. 295.510.55 41mm solid red gold automatic on a bracelet retail $35,200 box and instructions LNIB. Watch appears to never have been worn. Without doubt one of the nicest and most appealing watches Corum has put out in the last 25 years. Its perfectly sized, well thought out and exceptionally high grade. The Courm CO295 is really a redesigned Piguet 1150 with 3 days of power reserve and the highest grade of finishing. The case is equally well thought out, a modern reinterpretation of a line created by Corum in the 1960's with Roman numerals on the outer bezel (the name Romulus is a nod to Rome) but in this 2000's redesign Corum added in a camber to the crystal and bezel which gives a pleasing thinness. Though it is only 10mm thick it is very substantial due to the 22mm lug width and 191 grams of solid gold; its much more gold than the majority of solid gold bracelet watches and it is very evident on the wrist. Best of all is the dial design which is quite beautiful and certainly unique: a sunburst pattern radiating from the subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock. Bitonal in black and beige with gold accents it looks every bit the very expensive watch it is.
