For auction is a 1961 Rolex Submariner gilt gloss 5512 Eagle Beak gold hands wonderful dial. The Good: 1. A great early 5512 2 line: the gilt dial is really a stunner; the lume is an exceptional color and the overall glossy effect is great. 2. MK 2 Long 5 Bezel in nice condition. 3. Eagle Beak early case is overall nice. 4. Working and functioning correctly, -12 seconds per day and +190 amplitude. 5. Gilt dials are rare; finding them this nice and honest is equally rare. The Bad: 1. Dial has patina (probably radium wear); it doesn't detract from the beauty in any way (I wore it about 4 times and its an epic look, the gloss effect is almost 3 dimensional). 2. Its got a well worn 93150 later bracelet (not as authentic as a rivet 9315 but also much more functional for wearing).
